HutchinsonCirca1935.Very good condition with no wrapper. Edited by Hutchinson. 3 volumes, red cloth, gilt titles & vignette to lower edge of front cover. 'An invaluable work of international importance on breeds of dogs of every country, with full veterinary advice in cases of accidents or ailments etc., on their care and home treatment, contributed by the most eminent authorities.' Filled with b/w illustrations, many by well known artists. Many colour plates. All plates present. Volume 1: Spine lightly rubbed & worn with damp stain to bottom. Name in ink to front endpaper. A few pale fox spots and a few pages have a narrow band of damp stain across top margin. Volume 2: Spine lightly worn at edges with tiny loss of cloth. Name in ink to front endpaper. Small closed tear to frontis. Volume 3: Covers unevenly faded, top of spine lightly worn, small evidence of bookworm to front cover which has not gone right through. Page 1702 has diagonal scratch mark. Narrow band of dampstaining to top margins of some pages. Overall, a lovely set.
